J. Steven Coffey, AIA, LEED President
As President of Coffey Design Group, Steve has over 30 years experience in development, design, construction, construction management and development. Throughout his career, Steve has managed over $300 million in total construction for successful projects throughout the country. He specializes in site selection, design and project management for institutional, residential, healthcare and corrections projects.
Steve’s ability to design and manage is one of his strongest assets to a client. The former Executive Vice President responsible for design and production services of a 70-person architectural/engineering/construction firm, Steve has experience in large and medium scale new and renovation projects ranging from $3 million to $185 million in construction cost.
Steve has a BA in Architecture from Oklahoma State University (1971) and is a registered professional architect in Missouri, Illinois, Texas, California, the District of Columbia and NCARB. He is currently the Missouri Director for the American Institute of Architects as well as the Treasurer for the Design/Build Institute of America Mid-America Chapter and a member of the Construction Managers Association of America.
